I just finished two great MG reads, Rachel Searles’s The Lost Planet and Jane Kelley’s The Desperate Adventures of Zeno & Alya. Now I’m reading South of Superior–I loved the author’s MG book, Prairie Evers, so I hope I’ll love this, too!

I was also super excited to read the Kirkus review for my friend Michelle’s debut, I Heart Band. They loved it!

Well, mostly writing and working. But I’m excited to head back to the Midwest to meet my new nephew this weekend.

Also good luck with your NaNoing! It is a crazy month, and even though I’ve never actually done NaNo, I am the most focused during this month because of all the support and energy. Love it.

You’re really making me want to sit down and read some good MG. It’s been awhile, so I’m probably due. Hope your NaNo project is coming along well. I would have liked to NaNo this year, but it really wasn’t possible. Next year maybe!

A new nephew? Yay! I got one of those two weeks ago, and I’ve been desperately trying to talk with his mommy ever since, but this life is just too crazy sometimes, eh?

Ooh, speaking of good reads … I’m looking for books to recommend to my 13 year old nephew. He just finished ENDER’S GAME and wants to read more books, which makes my heart go pitter-pat. 🙂 Anyhow – any favorites?
