Last Friday I attended the White House Fall Social Garden Tour. In short, it was awesome. ETA: Thanks for all of the compliments on my dress! It was nice to fold up my writerly pajama pants for a day. 🙂 That dress was a gift from my mother in law, and she made it!

This sounds awesome! It would be great to see the White House property during all different seasons of the year. I imagine they would have seasonal vegetation that would be neat to see in every season. You totally look like you should be working in Washington in your pic–very professional and classy. 🙂

Thanks, guys! It was a really inspiring trip. And being around all those powerful and professional Washingtonians made me wish I worked in politics/govt. I kind of love DC.
